I got this nightlight in the hopes of helping my kids settle more easily at bedtime and induce sleepiness/melatonin production. But it’s way too bright! Bear in mind that what I was hoping to replace was one of those projector/sound machine combos that people often use in nurseries. But it's at least as bright as the projector, if not more so.

They work well in spite of being fairly cheap. The light sensor isn't too sensitive, either. It stays on once the room is dark enough. I got the red ones because the dim "red" LED bulb I was using in a lamp was way too bright, and apparently it was a blue or green LED doped with red fluorescent dye that faded to orange.

I like these very much. I bought them for a trip because every hotel we go to we end up keeping the bathroom light on so we don't crash into furniture if we have to get up at night. I always feel this is wasteful and wish I'd remembered to buy a nightlight for our trip. Well, no more.
